Shows, Classes, and
the Crazy French Pack

Saturday, February 10, 2024

What happens when you mix a handful of Germans, a couple of Americans, Japanese, Chinese, Norwegians, Finns, Swedes, The Dutch, Taiwanese,  and Brits, Indians, Swiss, Danes, Aussies, Austrians, Singaporean, Nepalese…. and oh… a PACK of French!??,

You get classes filled with diverse stories, connections, Masks, Movement, Keith Johnstone memories, guests from a local dance company and improvisation groups, ideas shared inside and outside of the classes and so much more.

To connect and explore with such a talented, diverse group of improvisers was incredibly motivating. So much generous sharing on all levels, authentic human moments and just plain fun

There were shows and special guests and dancing into the morning (By some….) And there were quieter walks into the country side.

Multinational talent and influence.

20 nations and a common love

The improvisation moved from the classroom and into every shadow of our world. There was Bollywood from India, and Kurosawa Improvisation from Tokyo. The Anime masks mesmerized and the French Pack immersed us into more elegant and croissant loving people.

But don’t ever talk about Fart Club. No one talks about Fart Club. (But everyone enjoyed it)

An incredible heart-warming experience.

REACT IMPACT

Student Feedback

I was unsure whether I should sign up for React or not.

But a voice inside me knew better and made it tasty for me. I haven’t regretted it for a second.

Patti, Shawn and Steve offered a lot of helpful exercises, explanations and side coaching in a pleasant learning environment that took me to another level as an improviser. I also think this was the first time I really understood some of Keith Johnstone’s exercises, quotes and attitude.

It was 10 days full of improv training, jam sessions, open spaces, shows, nice chats, fun, dance and creativity. All this with a super nice, crazy, warm-hearted, open minded bunch of people from all over the world.

I absolutely loved it! What an experience…

SPECIAL THANKS TO IMPRO STUTTGART – KATI, STEPH and KERSTIN for your exceptional spirit, organizational skills and patience!

WONDERFUL REACTIONS

Pictures are worth a thousand words but as great as some are, they are just whispers compared to the experiences we all shared.

….I came alone, went home having 50 new improviser friends from all over the world. Just wonderful 🙂

I loved how everything was permeated with keeping Keith’s teachings alive, in a good, healthy and creative (not prescriptive or cult-y) way.
