REACT 2026 - YES LET'S

REACT 2 – Near to the place we all started. Great feelings lingering long after REACT 2026 wrapped up!

REACT 2 - The 1st time - again.

RED DEER, AB, CANADA
AUGUST 9 - 19 2026

47 students came from 17 countries to a little Canadian city with enthusiasm, openness and shared interest in improvisation.

Bull Skit improvisation community in Red Deer hosted REACT this year.

The second time REACT happened was like another 1st time.  It was a different gathering of different improvisers interacting in a different country in a different way.

Different, new and wonderful.

The improvisers played in the Scott Block theatre, relaxed by the pool at the Baymont hotel (which was an improvised change in accommodation that served us extremely well). Late in the night there was laughter from the “ANDERS Room” where games were played after, shows, jams, and spontaneous student lead lessons.

React Reactors Reacting for one final moment before heading to their homes all around the planet.

From the moment they stepped off their flights they floated together from moment to moment building experiences and friendships that developed like a great improvisation scene.

Tears, Laughter, Elegance and Integrity

Sunday, August 9, 2026

Theresa “Corky” Larsen-Jonasson is a Cree/Danish Métis traditional Indigenous Elder, author, and community leader based in Red Deer, Alberta.

She was asked to speak and give her wisdom to the 50 improvisers who travelled a long way to be there.

What she said warmed everyone’s soul. There was laughter as she encouraged us to get our fill of TIM HORTONS (and went on to say it was over-rated). And Tears as she shared her values from her people, her history and her heart.

“When you feel like you can’t love anymore, dig deep. We have have a never ending supply inside of us.”  – Corky

Her voice, her words and spirit set the tone for our experience.

The warm reactions and connections, months after REACT wrapped up continues and will likely continue for a long time.

A hilight for many visitors was the gathering at Keith Johnstone’s Loose Moose theatre.

It was the place where brilliant formats were created as well as the inspiration of thousands of people who went on to careers in improvisation, film, science, social work, literature, education and so much more.

It was amazing that we got to experience the Loose Moose and be part of the Maestro prep and notes process as well.  – what a great bonus!

REACT IMPACT

Student Feedback

REACT is like this magical little international bubble you step into, where cultures, languages and differences are celebrated through improv! It’s a place where everyone belongs and you will be stretched and supported all at once, both by the teachers and the other participants. To have 10 days to really dive into Keith’s work is such a gift, as you really live and breath the concepts and have the time to dive into all angles of them with 3 encouraging and passionate teachers. There was so much learning to be had, and yet it all flowed seamlessly from workshop to workshop, from teacher to teacher. I can’t wait to attend again in the future! – Brett (Canada)

No matter how long you have been doing improv, REACT will re-wire your improv brain, making new connections, sparking new synapses and giving familiar pathways a healthy scrub. – Stephen (UK)

The word that keep coming to me after the workshop is “inspire” – Silvia (Italy)

SPECIAL THANKS TO BULLSKIT – Jenna, Jenn and Laura for giving everyone a feeling that someone was always near and ready to make the experience exceptional!

WONDERFUL REACTIONS

Pictures are worth a thousand words but as great as some are, they are just whispers compared to the experiences we all shared.
